You Already Know. You've Known for a While. So Why Isn't That Enough?
On the exhaustion of sensing everything — and what finally gives that gift somewhere real to live.
BY AMY CONTRERASTHE HOLISTIC BABE 8 MIN READ
You walk into a room and feel it before anyone speaks. You know when something is off in a relationship three weeks before you can name it. You sense when your kid is carrying something they haven't told you. You feel other people's moods in your own body — sometimes so thoroughly that by the end of the day you can't locate yourself in all of it.
You have always been this way. And for most of your life, it has been both a gift and an absolute drain.
The gift part: you are rarely wrong. You read people clearly. You know things.
The drain part: you are never quite sure what's yours. You absorb. You carry. You manage other people's energy without ever being formally asked to. And somewhere underneath all of that — quiet, patient, waiting — is a version of you that hasn't had the floor in a very long time.
"She's been sensing everything for everyone. When does she get to learn what her own signal actually sounds like?"
That is what SoulShip Sanctuary is for.
There's a Grief in This Nobody Names
Here's something I want to say plainly, because I don't see it discussed enough in spiritual spaces:
There is real grief in outgrowing the version of yourself you built to survive.
Not grief for a person you lost. Grief for the identity you held — sometimes for decades — that kept you safe, kept the peace, kept the family system running, kept you tolerable in environments that couldn't actually hold your full awareness. The version that absorbed instead of boundaried. That people-pleased instead of signaled. That was so tuned to everyone else that she gradually lost the frequency of herself.
She wasn't weak. She was adaptive. She built exactly the coping systems her world required. And now? She no longer fits. She's too much for that version. And not quite settled in the new one yet.
That in-between place — that's where most women arrive when they find their way to SoulShip Sanctuary. Not broken. Not behind. Just in the middle of a becoming they need a real container to hold.
This work doesn't rush you through that grief. It lets you move through it with structure, company, and someone who has sat with a lot of women in exactly this place.
Three Phases. One Continuous Thread.
SoulShip Sanctuary runs twelve months — not because that's an arbitrary subscription window, but because the actual arc of this kind of development takes about that long to move through properly. There are three phases inside the year. They are not interchangeable. They build.
PHASE ONE · FIRST QUARTER
Excavation
You cannot clearly hear your own signal when it's buried under everyone else's static. So we start here — with the clearing. Understanding the difference between what is yours and what you've absorbed. Learning how Spirit has already been communicating with you, in ways you've likely been dismissing as coincidence or imagination. Beginning to grieve what needs to go — not with drama, but with real support — so the woman underneath has actual room to breathe. Excavation is not the dramatic part. It is the necessary part. The part that makes everything else possible.
PHASE TWO · MIDDLE MONTHS
Attunement
This is where you start to actually learn yourself. What does your intuition feel like in your body — specifically? Not in theory. In real time, in your chest or your stomach or the sudden stillness that drops in when something is true. Attunement is also where we move through deeper pattern work — the loops that have been running since childhood, or longer. And it's where mediumship awareness opens, because learning to sense what exists beyond the physical is part of a full intuitive range. By the time Phase Two closes, the second-guessing starts to have a shorter half-life. You catch yourself sooner. You come back faster.
PHASE THREE · FINAL QUARTER
Embodiment
Here's where women often surprise themselves. Not because something dramatic happens — but because they realize, somewhere in these months, that they have changed the internal ground they're standing on. Decisions come from a different place. The voice that comes out in hard conversations is the actual one, not the managed one. Relationships start to feel clearer. The sensitivity that used to flatten you starts to function like what it always was: information. Embodiment is quiet. And it is unmistakable.

Why I Built This — And Who My Mom Has to Do With It
I am a psychic intuitive, medium, and somatic spiritual counselor. I have been doing this work through The Holistic Babe for over ten years, mostly in intimate sessions and small groups — first in Encinitas, now virtually from San Diego.
For years, women would finish a session or a workshop and say some version of the same thing: "I wish I had somewhere to stay." Not another beginning. A continuing. A place with memory, with community, with someone who actually knows where you've been.
My mother was a psychic and healer for 35 years. We built SoulShip Sanctuary together — first as a dream, then as a real space we were days from opening. She passed away one week before we did.
The conversations we had at the kitchen table kept happening — through intuition, through signs, through the unmistakable felt sense that she was still right in the middle of this work with me. She always said: "Transformation doesn't happen in one session. It's a lifelong journey."
SoulShip Sanctuary is that journey. Built from love, held with intention, shaped by everything she taught me and everything I've learned in ten years of sitting with women in the most honest moments of their lives.
The Doors Are Open
Founding member enrollment is live right now — the lowest rate SoulShip Sanctuary will ever be, locked in for life.
Monthly · $144/monthAnnual · $1,528/year — save $144
This is a year-long commitment. Not because of a policy — because the arc requires it. Because you require it. Because the woman on the other side of this year deserves the full journey to get there.
If you feel the pull — that's your sacral. That's information.
This is a year-long commitment. The arc requires it. The transformation depends on it.
